Summary
Dr Wallace Foster graduated from The University of Tasmania Medical School and underwent his residency at The Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane. Dr Foster trained in General Surgery for the next four years and qualified as a surgeon. Following this, he underwent further training in Vascular Surgery.
Dr Foster completed his Post Doctoral Fellowship in Cardiovascular Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Baylor College of Medicine is recognised as a premier academic health science centre and is known for excellence in education, research and patient care.
On returning to Brisbane in 1980, he commenced private practice. He holds the position of Visiting Medical Officer, Vascular Surgeon at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and Greenslopes Private Hospital and is Chairman of the Vascular Unit, Greenslopes Private Hospital.
