SUMMARY
Associate Professor James Bowman has degrees in both dentistry and medicine and completed his surgical training in Queensland in 2009. He has advanced training in managing conditions of the skull base including vestibular schwannomas and pituitary tumours as well as head and neck cancers.
Associate Professor Bowman is the Co-Director of the Queensland Skull Base Unit at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and cofounded the skull base multidisciplinary unit in 2013. He works closely with neurosurgeons addressing benign and malignant lesions including pituitary tumours and vestibular schwannomas.
Associate Professor Bowman is active in ongoing research and in supervising higher research degree students through the University of Queensland. He has initiated and developed 3D printed temporal bones for training and surgical planning purposes.
Associate Professor Bowman regularly manages all ENT conditions and treats adults and children.
